Appointment Ceremony for Practice Mentors of the Master’s Program in International Business (MIB) at College of Business of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics was held at the Yingxian Library of SUFE. Over twenty experienced experts from various practical sectors attended the event and engaged in in-depth discussions. Participants included COB Associate Dean Ding Haoyuan, MIB Program Academic Director Xie Tian, faculty members associated with the professional degrees, and students, with the event hosted by MIB Center Executive Director Wu Yunzhen.

COB Associate Dean Ding Haoyuan extended a warm welcome to the attending mentors on behalf of the College of Business. He highlighted the program's enduring commitment to appointing industrial mentors, enabling students to gain profound insights into the operational mechanisms and development trajectories of various organizations, thus providing forward-looking and pragmatic guidance for their personal career paths. This year, 47 practical mentors were appointed, each with their robust academic capabilities, extensive practical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and remarkable professional backgrounds across various sectors, including finance, consulting, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, industry associations, and international organizations.

In the context of deepening globalization and the rapid growth of the digital economy, COB Associate Dean Ding encouraged mentors to actively participate in practical education. He emphasized their vital role in inspiring and guiding students, helping them acquire a global perspective, and empowering their lifelong professional development.

During the appointment and certification ceremony, COB Associate Dean Ding Haoyuan and Academic Director Xie Tian of the MIB program jointly awarded certificates to the practice mentors and took a group photo to commemorate the occasion.

Industry mentors from international organizations gathered with students from the program to participate in a roundtable discussion focused on core topics such as international business, careers in international organizations, and fintech. The purpose of this discussion was to facilitate in-depth exchanges and discussions, enhancing students' comprehensive understanding of the international business field, broadening their global perspectives, and fostering deeper insight into the future work environments in international organizations and the evolving trends in fintech.
